The evaluation and treatment of pain!
It starts with a detailed evaluation of the cause and factors increasing pain.
- Treatment can be done by stopping or changing the factors causing the pain.
- Treatment can be done with medication taken by mouth or injected. Injections can be done into the painful area and may be called a block.
- Treatment can be done with physical therapy - see that section.
- Treatment of pain may involve treating psychological factors as well as physical.
